Ford Taurus - Belt and Hose Review
When you check your oil or do a tune up, take a look at your belts and hosed each time. The water hose coming out of the radiator and going to the engine is critical and should always be checked. When a belt or hose goes out on your car it will always be a bad time.
In regards to belts, inspect both the inside and the outside areas. The belts can look good on the outside and be ready to break on the inside.
Regarding hoses, if they feel pliable and don’t make a crunchy sound when you squeeze them, they are in good shape. If they are crunchy and cracked, they may be ready to blow. Let your engine warm up and look for hoses that are bulging or leaking and replace as needed
